Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) develops, manufactures, licenses, and supports a range of software products for a multitude of computing devices. The company's revenue growth rate was 29% in FY 99 (June) and 16% in FY 00. Revenue growth in FY 00 was driven by strong licensing of the Microsoft suite of products including Microsoft Windows NT Workstation, Windows 2000 Professional, Windows NT Server, Windows 2000 Server, Microsoft Office 2000, and SQL Server 7.0. Most of the company's software products are developed internally. The company's remaining manufacturing facilities are located in Puerto Rico and Ireland. Currently, MSFT is on trial in an antitrust suit brought against the company by the U.S. Department of Justice. The government alleges that MSFT is using its monopoly in its industry to gain unfair advantage.
